SBC comes to the community!
Agriculture and Food Processing Industry
The Human Resources Development (HRD) and SBC at Durham Tech have partnered with the Piedmont Food & Agriculture Processing Center to provide entrepreneurial training to enable farmers and entrepreneurs to start and grow agricultural product businesses. Most courses and seminars will have a focus on the agriculture and food processing industry yet will be open to all entrepreneurs. These offerings are made possible in part by a grant from the NC Tobacco Trust Fund.
The SBC WIRE: Webinars as Internet Resources for Entrepreneurs
SBC WIRE provides one- to two-hour sessions packed with current information beneficial to entrepreneurs. Sessions (live and replay) will be held on various topics at various times including but not limited to presentations from the following organizations:
- Internal Revenue Service
- North Carolina Department of Revenue
- North Carolina Military Business Center
- Small Business Administration
- Small Business Center
HP LIFE Online Entrepreneurship Training
HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE) is a global program that offers aspiring entrepreneurs and small business-owners valuable business skills. HP LIFE offers participants a path to realizing their business dreams. This program is self-paced, making it possible for more aspiring entrepreneurs to participate. All you have to do is register to start. Offered by the NC Small Business Center Network in partnership with the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). Taught by various speakers.
