The Durham Tech Testing Center offers the ATI TEAS exam to students preparing to enroll in Durham Tech's nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), or Respiratory Therapy programs. In order to take the ATI TEAS a student must have completed any developmental education requirements as well as a basic biology and chemistry course. If you have questions related to whether you qualify to take the test, please consult your academic advisor prior to registering.

The ATI TEAS exam is designed to assess a student's aptitude for success in nursing and allied health programs. Students must achieve an ATI TEAS score of 65 percent or higher on the Adjusted Individual Score to be eligible for admission into a Nursing or 60 percent or higher for the Respiratory Therapy program. Students applying to the OTA program must achieve a score of 58.7 percent or higher. The ATI TEAS score is NOT included in the calculation of points for competitive admissions.

If you have taken the TEAS at another location within the last three years (from the date you apply to the program) and earned the required score, please visit the Testing Center where you will log in to the ATI website (know your user name and password) to retrieve your results directly from ATI, as witnessed by Testing Center staff. There is no charge for this method of verifying your score.
