Program Overview

Business Management - Notary Public Continuing Education

A human resources professional talks to an employee during a meeting.
A notary is a public officer of the State of North Carolina appointed to perform acknowledgments, oaths and affirmations, and verifications. Durham Tech offers the Notary Public and Electronic Notary (e-notary) courses. Students must already be commissioned as a notary public before taking the Electronic Notary course.

To be admitted to a course, the NC Secretary of State requires that all candidates be able to speak, read, and write in English, and present a valid government photo ID. See sosnc.gov for additional requirements. The textbook is included. Register with care as refunds and transfers are not accepted. Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.

The Notary Public course costs $109 and the Electronic Notary course costs $95.
