Policy Statement

To facilitate the effectiveness and efficiency of Durham Technical Community College operations during emergencies and adverse conditions (e.g., COVID-19, inclement weather), the President shall have the sole authority to adopt temporary policies or to amend or suspend existing policies for the duration of the emergent event. The President shall report the exercise of such authority to the Board of Trustees within five (5) business days of the action.

Definition

Business Days – For the purposes of this policy, “business days” are days, Monday through Friday, when the College is operating, with the exception of holidays that the College typically observes in accordance with the Employee Holidays policy.
